What Is a CNM?
CNM stands for Certified Nurse Midwife. They are nurses who have completed a graduate program and are trained to assist in childbirth and manage women’s health. As a result, they are educated in both midwifery and nursing and are required to pass a national certification examination administered by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB). Our dedicated team of midwives delivers at Sky Ridge Medical Center understands that your birth experience is one of the most transformative moments of your life, and we’re committed to making it as empowering and positive as possible. Our midwives combine the best of traditional medical care with evidence-based holistic practices to support you every step of the way.
