About Amanda Roy, MSN, WHNP-BC
Amanda is a Board Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC). She attended Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA for her undergraduate degree in Nursing. Amanda started her career as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Southern California where she cared for premature babies and attended high risk deliveries. She also has experience working closely with postpartum patients after they are discharged from the hospital with an emphasis on postpartum depression and mental health.
Amanda felt a calling to work with patients in the outpatient setting and build ongoing therapeutic relationships. She graduated from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. with her Master's of Science in Nursing - Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
Amanda is passionate about caring for patients across the lifespan while utilizing a holistic approach- focusing on the mind, body and spirit. She has a special interest in prenatal/postpartum care and sexual health. Patient education and preventative healthcare are key elements in her personal practice.
Amanda knew she wanted to move to Colorado for a few years and is thrilled to call this place home. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys interior design and decorating, playing the piano, and spending time with her family and friends.
